• Delivery and location data during active delivery workflows where enabled and applicable.

Fuel Center is a technology platform and facilitator. Depending on the context, we may act as a data controller for our website, account, security, and support operations, and as a data processor or facilitator for certain vendor-customer workflows carried out through the platform.

We may share information only as needed for the purposes described in this policy, including with:

• Vendors, suppliers, customers, delivery partners, and authorized business users involved in a workflow.
• Payment gateways, banks, UPI providers, and payment or settlement partners.
• OTP, email, SMS, security, analytics, cloud, infrastructure, storage, notification, and workflow service providers.
• Professional advisers, auditors, support providers, or service vendors under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
• Legal, regulatory, tax, law-enforcement, or government authorities where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

We do not sell personal data.

Fuel Center does not store sensitive card details. Payment credentials are handled by payment gateway, UPI, card network, or banking partners. We may store payment status, transaction references, invoices, ledger entries, refund status, chargeback or reversal status, and reconciliation records needed for platform operations, support, fraud prevention, and audit.

In compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and mobile application store policies (Google Play Store and Apple App Store), Fuel Center empowers registered users to request the deletion of their accounts and associated personal data.

1. How to Request Account Deletion

We provide multiple accessible pathways depending on whether you are an individual retail user or an authorized corporate representative:

• Individual Retail Users (In-App Deletion): Log into the Fuel Center mobile application, navigate to Settings → Account Security → Delete Account, and confirm your request.
• Individual Retail Users (External Web / Email Request for Google Play Compliance): If you have uninstalled the mobile app, do not have access to your mobile device, or prefer submitting an external request, you do not need to reinstall the app. Simply email our dedicated support team directly at [email protected] with the subject [Individual Account Deletion Request] and include your registered mobile number and email address. Our team will verify your ownership and initiate the 30-day deletion lifecycle on your behalf.
• Corporate Organizations & Businesses (B2B Account Closure): Corporate accounts entering contractual credit terms require an authorized corporate closure. An authorized company signatory must submit an official request on signed company letterhead emailed to [email protected].

2. 30-Day Cooling-Off Grace Period

Upon submitting a deletion request, your account enters a 30-day cooling-off period. During these 30 days, your account is placed in operational lockout with login sessions revoked. Processing during this period is restricted strictly to account recovery, security, and cancellation management; marketing communications, commercial profiling, and behavioral tracking are immediately prohibited. You may cancel your request at any time before the period expires by clicking the secure, encrypted cancellation link provided in your confirmation email.

3. Data Deletion Scope vs. Statutory Retention Mandates

In strict accordance with Section 8(7) of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023, Fuel Center erases personal data once the specified purpose is no longer served, unless retention is necessary for compliance with applicable statutory laws:

• Authentication & Profile Erasure: All active credentials, password hashes, session tokens, device push tokens, and profile identifiers are permanently purged from our primary identity systems.
• Retail Consumers (Non-GST): For individual retail consumers without a registered GSTIN, personal contact identifiers (names, personal emails, phone numbers) are permanently anonymized in historical order tables upon the completion of the 30-day grace period.
• Statutory Audit Trail: Minimal audit logs (including deletion request timestamps, authorization metadata, and anonymization verification logs) are securely retained for up to 5 years (subject to formal internal legal approval) for statutory compliance defense, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention under applicable law.
• Tax & Financial Invoices (CGST Act, 2017 - Section 36): Under Section 36 of the Central Goods and Services Tax (CGST) Act, 2017, all books of account, tax invoices, debit/credit notes, and delivery records must be retained for at least 72 months (6 years) from the annual return filing date. Consequently, past tax invoices, delivery challans, and transaction ledgers are retained for audit and tax verification.
• Corporate & GST-Registered Accounts (Companies Act, 2013 - Section 128): For registered business entities, corporate accounts, and users who provided a GSTIN for business invoicing, records are subject to account lockout and soft-deletion. Business identity, GSTIN, and financial vouchers are preserved for 8 financial years to comply with statutory audit mandates. Corporate account closure requires formal written submission on company letterhead sent to [email protected].

We retain personal data only for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, satisfy contractual obligations, or comply with statutory requirements under Indian law (including the DPDP Act 2023, CGST Act 2017, and Companies Act 2013). When personal data is no longer required for statutory or legitimate operational purposes, it is securely destroyed, erased, or permanently anonymized.

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards such as secure communication, controlled access, monitoring, and operational controls. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and users should keep credentials confidential and report suspicious activity.

Subject to applicable law and operational requirements, you may request access, correction, update, deletion, or withdrawal of consent for certain processing. Some requests may be limited where records must be retained for legal, tax, security, dispute, or transaction reasons.
